Enfield achieves FSC® certification

Enfield Speciality Doors has once again achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Chain of Custody certification for its commitment to forestry management.

The FSC® is the world’s most trusted mark for sustainable forestry and the organisation works with people and businesses worldwide to protect healthy, resilient forests.

Enfield’s FSC® chain of custody certification demonstrates its timber-framed bespoke internal doors can be traced back through every stage from forest to workshop. And the timber harvested to create its speciality doors is from responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious and economically viable sources.

This week (24th September to 30th September) is also FSC® Forest Week, an annual weekly celebration where the organisation raises awareness of the value of the FSC® certification, of forests and how choosing sustainably sourced products can help create resilient forests for the future.

James Saunders, General Manager of Enfield Speciality Doors, says: “It is truly important to us that the timber in our bespoke internal doors comes from sustainable sources and to have achieved the FSC® certification once again proves our dedication to using ethically and responsibly sourced timber.

“Forest Week is vital to not only raise awareness of the FSC® but of how people and businesses can be part of responsible forestry. We are delighted to be able to contribute to that.”
